# FMP news clock incident

FMP editorial/press news is temporarily withheld from replay and Markets because zone-less New York publication timestamps were stored as UTC, making articles appear 4–5 hours early.

Earlier runs with unknown or FMP news exposure are potentially affected. Their returns and evidence have not been recomputed. A warning does not establish which headlines an agent used or which trades benefited. Unknown provenance is not a clean result.

The corrected parser uses the original payload and keeps storage identities stable. Publisher-based replay availability means original publication plus a 1-minute rounding allowance; FMP delivery latency is unmeasured. Parser deployment alone does not restore a feed. FMP remains quarantined until separate review and production verification. Other news sources continue to serve.

Raw warehouse `news.t`, legacy `published_at` and derived `news_returns`/model scores are not retroactively corrected by a replay reader change. Research scripts must adopt the versioned clock and re-evaluate their inputs before making new causal claims.
