HELP
Trading guide
Choose a session, place simulated orders, and review the result.
Start a session ↗Choose a day
Pick a symbol and an available session. Tick replay uses recorded trades and quotes; minute-bar replay offers more history. Your starting balance is virtual.
Get your bearings
Drag the chart to look back. Scroll or pinch to zoom. Context controls load earlier days without moving the replay clock. Back to replay returns to the latest visible market data.
Make your trade
Choose Buy or Sell, quantity, and market/limit/stop. Submitting is an acknowledgement; a fill is a separate event. Working orders remain in Orders until they fill, expire, or are cancelled.
Manage your risk
Positions shows what you hold, its average entry, current mark, and open P&L. Protect position links a stop-loss and target; filling one cancels the other. Close position sends the opposing market order.
Keep the lesson
Finish the replay to review its chart and fills in Results. Add optional notes or export executions as CSV.
Execution, prices and saved sessions
- Indexed prices
- Blind sessions begin at a price index of 100. Prices, fills, account value, and chart levels use that same scale. Exact market volume is withheld.
- Tick fills
- Orders wait 100 milliseconds of market time. Buys use recorded asks; sells use bids. Quoted size can produce partial fills in new sessions.
- Bar fills
- Markets fill at a later bar’s open. Limits and stops use the completed bar’s range, so this mode cannot reconstruct activity inside that minute.
- Realized and open P&L
- Open P&L marks your current holding to the latest price. Realized net P&L is total session P&L minus open P&L, including execution costs.
- Saved sessions
- Your broker state, fills, and clock are checkpointed. A reconnect pauses playback so you can reorient. Notes and chart preferences save to your account; a local draft is kept if saving fails.
- Finishing and prior knowledge
- Finishing reveals the outcome and records the day as seen on your account. Replay supports practice; it does not certify a trading strategy or model queue position, hidden liquidity, or market impact.
